About this coffee

This Colombian green coffee was decaffeinated using the "sugar cane" process, which we intentionally selected due to its gentleness in comparison to other common methods and its ability to retain the coffee's distinctive qualities.

ORIGIN INFO

The drying station

Villamarìa is the drying station of Chinchinà, a municipality situated in the Caldas Department of Colombia. This region is characterized by the picturesque and characterful Chinchiná valley in the Central Cordilleras, which is surrounded by coffee plantations and an active volcano to the east. Presently, the harvests of 30 coffee farming families from around Villarazo, Jamaica, a higher altitude area than the drying station, are being processed at Villamarìa. The warmer temperatures of the station make it suitable for processing honey and natural coffees.
