ORIGIN INFO

The Farmers

We get this wonderful coffee from our partner Nordic Approach. He's part of a program through an organization called Origin Coffee Lab. The coffees are either microlots or blends from co-producers in the northern regions around Jaen and San Ignacio. The farms are usually between 1 and 3 hectares in size and are run by small families. They harvest, process and dry the coffee on the farms themselves. By participating in this premium organic certified program, producers have the opportunity to invest in their production through the premium prices they receive for their coffee and quality to develop higher quality micro-lots. The program is based on good premiums paid to growers for all our coffees. Investing in communities is critical to continue to motivate farmers to produce high quality lots to ensure the continued existence of great coffee.
