Our FUNKELFEUER! We have been searching for you for a very long time and have cupped an incredible amount of naturals of the new or fresh 2021 harvest from Ethiopia in recent months for you to find a worthy successor to the 2020 FUNKELFEUER.

The green coffee from this year’s Funkelfeuer comes from the Bensa washing station which is located in Sidamo with 800 active farmer members who deliver cherries. Sidamo is a well known region for most people. That said, with the privatisation of the coffee industry in Ethiopia over the past 2 years, new areas and municipalities or sub regions have been developing. Some cross over from Sidamo to a lesser known region called West Arsi. Bordering the national park of Bale Mountain, the variety of profiles coming out of this region has been astonishing. Bensa is located in between the borders of both regions.

Expect sweet mango, papaya, lactic passionfruit, some blackcurrant and a huge amount of tropical funk in your cup!
